Psychology services provide therapeutic support and counselling to facilitate symptom relief, self-knowledge, emotional acceptance and growth in a safe, supportive environment.

Our team of psychologists are trained to understand the broad spectrum of presenting problems and have experience working with all the common psychological disorders as well as many of the less common difficulties.  Often people are surprised to find out that they are not the only person who has ever experienced the set of symptoms they are struggling with.  Our psychologists focus on providing a safe, non-judgmental space for you to share your concerns and to work on strategies to assist you to manage your challenges and return to living a more rich and meaningful life.

At Think Mental Health we offer a range of evidence based and evidence informed services specific to adolescents. We have numerous members of our team who specialise in working with young people during this critical period of development. Our team members who work with adolescents are trained to understand the normal developmental challenges during this period and how things can go wrong. We work to build a strong therapeutic relationship with your teenager, to enable them to understand the young person’s experiences and then assist them to build the knowledge, skills and strategies to better manage any challenges or difficulties they may be facing.

A psychologist can help adolescents to deal with the wide range of challenges faced during this stage of development. Common difficulties we can assist with include:

This means as parents, with your young person’s consent, you are likely to be involved in treatment. The focus is always on helping young people to understand and better manage their difficulties.

Children

Under 12 years

At Think Mental Health we offer a range of evidence based and evidence informed psychological services specific to children and families. We understand that as children grow and change, their needs will vary.  We have staff who have a special interest and training in working with children and their families.  These psychologists are sensitive to development across the lifespan and specialise in understanding emotion and behaviours from the child’s perspective.  Our team use creative approaches and tools to engage children and help them to grow. 

A clinician can help children to deal with a wide range of challenges faced during this stage of development.  Common difficulties we can assist with include:
