Meet Melissa

Melissa is a clinical psychologist that enjoys working with people of all ages but with a specific interest in young people (particularly ages 12-25), and supporting parents, including new parents in the perinatal period, and those with young children and primary school-aged children. 

Melissa endeavours to create a good therapeutic relationship to assist clients in making change and is experienced in interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). She takes an attachment-informed approach when working with people who have experienced trauma including developmental trauma, adolescents and young people. 

Melissa completed her Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Canberra. During her time working at Think, Melissa has also worked in a range of community health settings and has previously worked at the ACT Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and the Psychology Department at Canberra Hospital.
