Meet Bec

Bec Meagher is a provisional psychologist undertaking her internship year after completing the Master of Professional Psychology program at the Australian National University. During her training, Bec provided evidence-based psychological interventions at Canberra Head to Health where she is currently working three days a week, delivering individual and group therapy to consumers in a public setting. She will be seeing children (aged 5-12) and adolescents (aged 12-18) from July 2023.

Bec’s approach to therapy is empathetic, person-centred and collaborative. She has experience working with adults and is particularly passionate about working with children, adolescents and families. Bec works within an evidence-based therapeutic approach informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and has knowledge about Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) frameworks. Bec has experience working across varied clinical presentations, including anxiety, depression, stress, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and disordered eating.

Fees are significantly lower for provisional psychologist sessions. If you are interested, please contact the practice.
