Meet Anna
Anna is a registered psychologist and clinical registrar who has experience supporting children, young people, and adults. She aims to empower her clients and foster a therapeutic space centered around warmth, authenticity, and safety.
Her approach is strengths-based and collaborative, drawing from different modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), the Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders (UP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She has experience working with a variety of presentations including anxiety, depression, neurodevelopmental conditions, emotional regulation challenges, and interpersonal difficulties. Anna has also worked across different therapeutic settings including private practice, school-based, and university-based settings, as well as specialised assessment clinics. Alongside her clinical practice, Anna is completing her PhD at the ANU where her research is focused on increasing our understanding of wellbeing outcomes of children in Australian child protection.
Originally from New Zealand, Anna completed undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the USA and the UK before commencing her studies in Australia. She was also a dedicated athlete who competed internationally in rowing, representing New Zealand, as well as the University of Cambridge in The Boat Race.
