Meet Ana

Ana is a registered psychologist, is fluent in English and Spanish, and works primarily with adults with a special interest in alcohol and drug dependence abuse, interpersonal relationships, and adjustment and stress-related disorders. Ana has experience working with cognitive behavioural therapy (ACT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), schema therapy, motivational interviewing and systematic therapy for relationships.  

Ana also works part-time at Relationships Australia where she enjoys taking a systematic therapy approach to relationship counselling. She provides relationship counselling at Think, where Ana helps couples to better understand and change the difficult interactions they might be having as well as connect (or re-connect) as a couple.  

Ana is a Spanish-born psychologist with a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Madrid. After migrating to Australia, she completed a 4-year internship to become a Registered Psychologist. 

Before joining Think Mental Health, Ana also worked for over 5 years with the ACT Govt funded Gambling Harm agency providing psychological treatment for individuals struggling with impulse control disorders, including gambling and alcohol consumption/dependence, as well as treating depression, anxiety, and associated relationship difficulties.  

Ana is currently on extended leave.
