Think Mental Health provides community services within the Canberra region.
Providing accessible mental health services to Canberrans
Canberra and Tuggeranong Medicare Mental Health Centres are a Commonwealth-funded initiative commissioned by the Capital Health Network (CHN) and delivered by Think Mental Health. Established in 2021, originally as Canberra Head to Health, the service offers a team of professionals, including psychologists, mental health assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers, along with psychiatry input as required.
Canberra Medicare Mental Health Centre is located on Childers Street, Canberra City. Tuggeranong Medicare Mental Health Centre opened on 21 July 2025 and is located on the corner of Anketell and Cowlishaw Streets, Greenway. Check out their website for more information.

Our Teams
Julie Hanson
Julie is the Centre Manager, Canberra Medicare Mental Health Centre and is a registered mental health nurse with experience in both acute and community mental health settings.
Lisa Vithalis
Lisa is the Centre Manager, Tuggeranong Medicare Mental Health Centre. Lisa is a qualified Social Worker and Counsellor. She has extensive experience in trauma, working with children and young people, drug and alcohol and mental health.
