Meet Melissa
Melissa is a Clinical Psychologist who is experienced in providing therapy to children, adolescents and adults. Melissa has a specific interest in working with young people and their parents/carers. Melissa also enjoys working with people who have experienced trauma, as well as supporting women in the perinatal period and new parents. Melissa offers a supportive, therapeutic space for her clients, and primarily uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Melissa has worked in various clinical settings, including the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), the Child at Risk Health Unit (CARHU), the Women’s Health Service, and the Acute Psychology Support Team at The Canberra Hospital.
Melissa has worked in both clinical and various leadership roles across a number of services, and is currently in the position of Clinical Lead at Think Mental Health, where she provides clinical support and oversight to the Psychology team. Melissa is also a Board-approved supervisor and enjoys supporting the profession of psychology.
