Meet Louise
Louise is a clinical registrar who is passionate about taking a strength-based, person-centred approach to working with clients as they navigate mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and interpersonal issues. Louise strongly believes in providing a warm, safe, and collaborative setting for clients to process these challenges and to support growth and positive change.
Louise completed her Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Canberra, while working in the public service. During her training, Louise provided evidence-based psychological interventions and assessments at the UC Student-led Psychology Clinic, in a school setting at Radford College, and in private practice, here at Think Mental Health. She has experienced working across the lifespan and particularly enjoys working with anxiety in younger children (aged 7-12) and with older adolescents (15+) and emerging adults (18-25).
Louise primarily works from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) perspective whilst also drawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) frameworks.
