Meet Bec
Bec Meagher is a registered psychologist who has experience working across the lifespan and with varied clinical presentations, including anxiety, depression, stress, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and disordered eating. Bec is particularly passionate about working with children, adolescents and families.
Bec’s approach to therapy is empathetic, person-centred and collaborative. Bec works within an evidence-based therapeutic approach informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and has knowledge about Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) frameworks.
Bec completed her training at the Australian National University. Bec provides evidence-based psychological interventions at Canberra Medicare Mental Health Centre where she currently works three days a week, delivering individual and group programs to consumers in the community sector.
